Signature Charters is operated by Capt. Mitch Shipman a USCG licensed captain, Lake
Erie Licensed Guide and accomplished tournament angler with over 35 years experience fishing Lake Erie.
Signature charters focuses on
sharing the world class Lake Erie fishery by putting you on the very best bites and
biggest fish possible. Whether you’re looking to sit back, relax and reel in fish or get
involved in setting lines and learning new techniques Capt. Mitch will ensure a safe and
enjoyable day on the water.
Signature Charters operates out of a 2024 Ranger 622FS Pro fully loaded with all the
necessary safety equipment, tackle, gear and the best electronics. The Ranger 622FS Pro
is perfect for small groups up to 3 people w/a max of 4. Memorial Day to October trips will
leave from Geneva State Park Marina. Late fall thru spring trip locations vary as we follow
walleye migration keeping you on the best bites throughout the seasons.
What to bring:
- Valid Ohio fishing license for anyone 16yrs or older.
- Sunscreen, Hat and Sunglasses
- Motion sickness medicine if needed
- Snacks, food, drinks for the day
- Rain Gear Dress for the weather. (Capt. Mitch will let you know what conditions to expect ahead of your trip)
- Soft soled shoes
- Cooler to take fish home with you. (Leave in your car till after the trip)
Things to note:
- All fishing equipment, bait and tackle is provided
- Fish cleaning is available at most marinas at an extra cost
- Lake Erie is a Great Lake where weather conditions can make fishing unsafe.
- The Capt. has sole discretion to cancel a trip if the weather is deemed unsafe.
- Trips cancelled due to weather will receive a refund of their deposit or deposit can be used for a rescheduled date.
